In keeping with the magnificence of the surroundings, The Palace of the Lost City at Sun City boasts a number of restaurants serving exquisite cuisine. The Villa del Palazzo is a gracious waterside restaurant specializing in classic north Italian a la carte dinners overlooking the Lost City. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the Palace of the Lost City 's beautifully laid out Crystal Court. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide excellent views of the Lost City's tropical jungle and the Sun City Golf Courses.

The Palace of the Lost City plays host to two elegant bars, which are perfect for traditional sun city cocktails, pre-dinner and after dinner drinks or relaxed socializing. The Tusk Bar and Lounge at The Palace of the Lost City features 6 hand-carved teak tusks weighing 2 tons. The Palace 's Palm Court Lounge adjoins the Villa del Palazzo and offers butler service in the evenings.

THE LOST CITY JUNGLE AT SUN CITY

Surrounding the Palace of the Lost City is a 'manmade' 25 hectare botanical jungle with over 1 600 000 plants, trees and scrubs. Various different types of habitats have been created using over 3,200 different species of plants. This Sun City rain forest actually emulates nature with its three layers: a 40 metre high canopy, secondary trees half that height and plants at ground level. The Jungle at the Palace of the Lost City is threaded with paths meandering past cascades and waterfalls, lakes and pools and a variety of water - borne adventure rides. Thus providing a perfect opportunity for guests of The Palace of the Lost City to relax and walk around this very special part of paradise within Sun City.

Palace Pool Annual Maintenance
The Palace Pool is also closed for annual maintenance from 27 June to 16 July 2005 both dates inclusive. Residents at The Palace will be able to make use of the pool at the Observatory Deck, the Valley of Waves and the pools at any of the other hotels in the Resort.

A few of these statistics include: 600,000 truck loads of earth were moved on site, sufficient carpeting within The Palace to cover 125 tennis courts, surface area of artificial lakes and pools equal to 40 soccer pitches. During the peak of construction at The Palace of the Lost City , Sun City almost 5,000 people worked on the project. The Palace of the Lost City, Sun City was completed in only 28 months..
